This summer the New Mexico Jazz Workshop will host 19 nights of some the best live music Albuquerque has to offer, as one of the city’s most popular summer events returns; Salsa/Jazz & Blues Under the Stars. The festival is held at the Albuquerque Museum Amphitheatre, 2000 Mountain Road NW, located in the heart of historic Old Town, and runs from May 31 through August 10.
The Summer Music Festival kicks off with a warm night of hot salsa, from Arizona band, Jaleo. A multicultural combination of Afro Cuban, Puerto Rican and Colombian rhythms, Jaleo will keep you on the dance floor with their special blend of old world melodies mixed with youthful exuberance.
The first weekend of the NMJW Summer Music Festival continues with an eclectic night of of jazz from Albuquerque and Santa Fe based jazz musicians and composers, Brian Wingard Quartet/Ramon Bermudez and Howard Cloud Duo.
