This year’s benefit was held on Thursday, May 16th at Chicago’s new downtown hot spot, The Grid. It grossed funds and friends. Friendraising is something that the People’s Music School has been doing for many years. At this year’s event the new friends included a large population of young people, and it was the first time in the school’s history were the majority of the turnout was younger. The People’s Music School wishes to continue to illustrate the importance of young philanthropy support and education
Their silent auction featuring Chicago Cubs packages, lake dinner cruises, in-home wine tastings, personally composed musical pieces, and in-home performances were wildly successful. Overall the evening was a big win, and made for a great night out from the hors d’oeuvre to student performances that made the evening magical.
