What does Berklee City Music mean to you and what are your goals at 5-week?

Berklee City Music means everything to me. Being in Berklee City Music allows me to learn about different styles, patterns, and grooves. Through Berklee City Music I learn from teachers and students, and take stuff to apply to my drumming.

What is it about music that makes you want to be a musician and pursue it as a career?

When I hear drummers play songs it makes me just want to practice more and more. It motivates me to do better and play better.

Who’s had the greatest influence on your life and why?

My mom has had the greatest influence on my life. She is a very strong woman and takes care of me because she is a single parent as my father is no longer alive. She has a very hard job being a lawyer and taking care of her son. So she influences me the most, because in spite of all things she still pulls through.

Outside of music what are your interests and hobbies?

To be honest nothing.  I am constantly listening to music and playing drums and practicing. That’s all I do, and all I ever do.
